Tomorrow, April 17th, KC Bakes will be celebrating its 1st Birthday! To celebrate, each day this week, a new post will go live at 7:00am EST with a new set of goodies. That’s 5 days of prizes!
I am so excited to introduce you to some of my favorite companies out there and you will have a chance to win some of their amazing products.
First up is Denise, founder of AJ Sweet Soaps. I can not say enough about her amazing creations… I even dedicated a Tuesday Museday post to them! She makes the most incredible novelty soap that I have ever seen. I’ve been a fan of hers for some time now, and I’m still baffled at how she can make her soap look so life-like, especially the food-themed soaps. There are not too many things that I can think of that she hasn’t made, but if you can, Denise loves doing custom projects. Her prices are incredible (many items under $10), and the customer service is top-notch.
Another favorite Etsy shop that I really love is YSM Designs. Her designs are so stunning! Two of my favorite pieces are the Gold Marquise Necklace and Silver Bow Necklace. They are so dainty that they could be worn every day, and yet they are so elegant that they could be worn for a fancy event. One feature of this shop that I particularly love is customization! YSM allows you to modify existing designs, or if you have an original idea, you can message them. A quick look at their feedback is proof-positive that their are hundreds of happy YSM customers out there.
Good luck!

Happy Birthday!! I became a cake pop baker accidentally. The short story is that I made a large display for fun for my employer’s new office open house and within an hour I had 5 “orders” (I wasn’t “in business” yet!). So here I am, only 3 weeks in business and I’ve got an amazing amount of interest and orders! Too bad I have a day job!

I subscribe to your blog. I didn’t have my first real cake pop until about a month ago. I won an Easter giveaway and had some sent to me. Then I got some cake pops from The Gourmet Pop in LA and they were delicious.

I just subscribed to your blog! I discovered cake pops through my 17 year old nephew. He is my official taste tester because he knows I love to bake. He had seen a picture of them online some where and asked me to make them for him. He loved them so much! He said, “Aunt Misty…you should totally be a baker!” Little did he know I was trying to make the decision on going to Culinary School to get an Associate in baking in pastry. He was my final “push” into following my dreams. Best decision of my life! He continues to be my best supporter and inspiration.

I’ve liked KC Bakes on FB for a while now. The first time I saw a cake pop was when a friend posted the ones she had for her bridal shower and I thought they looked so good and a great idea. So I googled cake pops and found Bakerella and I totally fell in love with cake pops, started making them last Fall. My cake pops and cookies started off as a business last Christmas. And I love your cake pop stands … couldn’t do without them!

I have followed KCBakes on Twitter and I have my very own custom cake pop stand from KCBakes for my bakery, Three Chicks Bakery (@3chicksbakery on Twitter)! I love the stand and I was first introduced to cake pops about a year ago on Facebook when I saw someone post a photo of them. I thought they looked fun and I wanted to try to make them! I’ve been making them ever since and sell tons of them! 🙂

Liked YSM on FB! I started making cakepops for an Easter Dessert a few years ago. Been making them a lot lately as fundraisers for my son to earn money for summer camp! He sold over 250 at a weekend soccer tournament a few weeks ago. Super fun!

Just became a follower of KC Bakes. I love there products and recommendations. Hope I win. I started loving and making Cake pops when I saw a commercial for Bake Pops . I found it interseting and looked into making cake pops altogether. I have been doing them ever since. I found more conventional methods of making them but love them just the same.

I subscribed to your blog last month 🙂 On my 25th bday, my friend brought cake pops over to my house. I tasted them and instantly fell in love. A month later I decided I would make cake pops for my neice’s birthday party. Everyone loved them! From there, I would bring cake pops to all the parties I attended and was always encouraged to start my own cake pop business. After going back and forth with the idea – here I am! My cake pop business is called Once a Pop a Time.

Followed. My wife would have a heart attack over that charm. If I don’t win, this will be in her future either way.
Brady Smith said:
Reread the rules for the post and doing over…
My wife is the main baker, I’m just the backer for her baking business venture. I find new and interesting things for her to do and look around at different tools and things that she can use for displaying the work. That’s how I came across KC. Also, there’s none of the baker charm left, so bummer on that note. Back to the drawing board and thanks for running the contest.
