While hoards of bargain-hunting shoppers flocked to the malls for Black Friday deals, hubby and I were busy working like Santa’s little helpers wrapping presents and decking the halls. It’s become a little tradition of ours, helping my friend Carole’s business decorate the lobby of the IBX Building in Center City, Philadelphia.

It took 11 people and 8 hours, but the lobby looks absolutely stunning!  I snapped pictures of our progress with my iPhone along the way so you can see it all come together.  Next time you’re in a mall or building with a Christmas display, take a moment to really appreciate the hard work that went into it 🙂

Time to get started!

Branches and lights added.

Then the ornaments...

Close-up of some of the details...

Gah! The tree ate Carole!

All done!!!

Over 100 feet of garland and 3 huge wreaths total.

Winter scene on the 3rd floor overlook.

And of course, no trip to a skyscraper would be complete without a trip to the roof – 46 floors up!

Hubby enjoying the view.

C'est moi! See City Hall behind me?
